Chicken wings are one of the best party foods. From Super Bowl parties, to outdoor BBQs, to just hanging with friends, chicken wings are always a popular offering. These honey sriracha wings are a great option for those who want an Asian fusion choice along with the regular buffalo variety.
I was actually inspired to create these wings because I had a craving for Buffalo Wild Wings’ Asian Zing sauced wings. Since I don’t live in a country with a B-Dubs I decided to make my own. Of course, the flavor isn’t the same – it just has that Asian inspired taste!

How To Make The Best Crispy Chicken Wings
I always make my chicken wings the same way. That’s because the best way to make the most crispy chicken wings is the baking powder method. Just place all your wings in a bowl and add 1 tsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of salt per 10 wing segments. Give the bowl a toss and let sit for a few minutes.
Place the chicken wings on an oven rack with a pan underneath to catch the drippings. Bake the wings at 120c or 250f for 30 minutes, then raise the temperature to 220c or 425f for another 30-40 minutes.
Pull the rack out and remove the chicken wings from the metal. Sometimes the skin gets stuck but a good metal spatula should pop them off nice and clean. Now you can add the wings to the honey sriracha sauce!
Honey Sriracha Wing Sauce
So this tasty honey sriracha sauce is super easy and only has 5 ingredients. It is a bit on the hot side, but if you can’t handle sriracha feel free to reduce the amount used.
Ingredients List
- 2 tbsp Sriracha – this Thai hot chili sauce is a great way to add spice AND a bit of fruitiness to a dish. Want to make your own? I highly recommend Praew’s homemade sriracha recipe.
- 2 tbsp Honey – I’m using acacia honey, but it really doesn’t matter so you can use whatever honey you like. I would recommend using REAL honey though, since there’s a bit of an issue with fake honey permeating grocery store shelves these days.
- 2 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 cloves Garlic – minced
Honey Sriracha Wings Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a bowl and whisk to combine. Give a taste and adjust to suit your needs.
Add the cooked wings directly to the bowl and toss around until every wing is completely coated in delicious honey sriracha sauce. I like to add a few toasted sesame seeds as well, mainly for presentation.
If you love wings as much as I do then you are likely always on the lookout for delicious sauces to try. If you are into Asian inspired flavors, then you’ll love my miso butter chicken wings as well!
