1. Beer Battered Fish Tacos

Fish? Good. Beer? Good. Tacos? GOOOOOOOD. This beer battered fish tacos are everything you want and more, and a great Tuesday dinner idea if you know what I mean. The best part about fish tacos is you aren’t stuck with one type of fish; Any whitefish will do from cod to hake to halibut and more. You can even non-white meat fish if you want to get creative. This Baja California specialty is guaranteed to be a fish recipe you’ll love.
2. Cornmeal Crusted Catfish
This easy Cornmeal Crusted Catfish from Taste of Home is a classic Southern specialty. Whether you are or are not a fan of catfish, this recipe is a great starting point. A thin, boneless fillet makes for easy eating, and a squeeze of lemon really brightens up a traditionally heavy fish recipe.
3. Lemony Salmon Pasta
Lemony Salmon Pasta is a fabulously refreshing meal perfect for those who want fish, but not whole fish. Salmon is usually a crowd pleaser fish and when it is broken up and tossed in savory and tangy spaghetti you can’t go wrong.
4. Mediterranean Baked Sea Bream

Sea bream, also known as dorado or orata (and a few other names) is one of the most popular fish around the Mediterranean. Thus a Mediterranean baked sea bream is easy, delicious, and loved by plenty of cultures. This specific recipe is inspired by the Adriatic and is extremely popular with whole-fish lovers.
5. Garlic Basil Barramundi
This garlic basil barramundi dish from Pinch of Yum is an amazing fish recipe I adore. The tender fillets in a rich tomatoey sauce, white beans, and more takes me straight to my happy place. And the best part is it is just a plain and easy recipe. You aren’t dealing with any fine dining techniques here, just good old homestyle fish perfect for a weeknight meal.
6. Pan Seared Mahi Mahi With Crunchy Coleslaw
If you like mahi then you’ll love this mahi mahi with crunchy coleslaw. With a generous crust of seasoning, and tender, flaky flesh you’ll want to add this fish recipe to your repertoire. It is perfect for dinner parties as well, since you can prep everything ahead of time and cook rather quickly in batches. How great is that!
7. Spicy Sichuan Boiled Fish
Boiled fish might sound odd to Western ears, but it is an extremely common cooking method in places like Asia. I remember ordering this dish countless times when I lived in China because it’s so darn addicting. If you like that numbing, spicy sensation (mala) then you’ll love this recipe for Sichuan boiled fish.
8. Carpathian Baked Trout Under Sour Cream And Mushrooms

This whole baked trout fish recipe hails from the Carpathian mountains of Ukraine, a place I love traveling to. Whole trout are cleaned and smothered in a rich and creamy mushroom sauce before baking until perfect. This is a fish recipe I make again and again since it’s cheap, easy, and best of all absolutely delicious.
9. African Fish Stew
This amazingly flavorful African fish stew from one of my favorite bloggers, Tayo, is easy, delicious, and healthy. This stew comes from Nigeria, one of the most cuisine rich countries in Africa (and just an overall great place to travel to for tourism). I love making this stew as a rainy day meal as it makes my entire house smell so warm and inviting even when cold and grey outside.
10. Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon
You’ll see salmon recipes again and again, because it’s one of the most popular fish for home cooks. This easy honey garlic glazed salmon tastes just divine and makes for a very pleasing dinner. Serve it with some white rice to sop up all that extra sauce and you’ll be in fish heaven (no not literally). I like to add a little hot sauce to give some spice to this recipe, but even without it the sauce shines!
11. Brazilian Seafood Stew
This Brazilian seafood stew, also called moqueca, is one of the most popular dishes from the country. You can use pretty much any fish (or shellfish) you want in this dish since it is just the epitome of good, homestyle cooking. Every family has their own recipe so get creative and try as many different ones as you can.
12. Tako Poke

When people think Hawaiian food they think poke. Okay maybe also rotisserie chicken and pretty much everything you eat at a luau, but poke is the quintessential grocery store takeaway dish. Yet outside of the islands it’s rare to find octopus aka tako poke. This recipe is delightfully refreshing, with perfectly cooked pieces of octopus in a heavenly sauce.
13. Japanese Simmered Fish
This easy recipe for Japanese simmered fish, or sakana no nitsuke, comes from one of my favorite Japanese cuisine blogs: Sudachi. This fish is rich, salty, savory, and overall just delightful. On my first bite it transported me directly to a little seaside village I went to years ago where the host made a variety of donabe dishes.
14. Arctic Char Tartare

Char is in the same family as salmon so if you love the latter, you’ll love the former. This fish recipe involves no cooking at all, rather the fish is finely cubed and mixed with other ingredients to create a tartare. Arctic char tartare is an upscale and elegant dish that is sure to impress your guests (provided they eat raw fish that is).
15. Greek Roasted Branzino
Branzino, the fancy restaurant name for Mediterranean sea bass, is one of my absolute favorite fishes (it is basically this and dorado for my med home cooking). This Greek whole roasted branzino is a quick and easy recipe that will have you fall in love with this tender and flaky fish. If you don’t want to do a whole fish you can have your monger fillet it for you – just make sure to adjust the cooking time.
16. Blackened Grouper
Blackened grouper is a great fish recipe you’ll love. With a healthy amount of seasoning this flaky white fish is sure to satisfy you. It goes great on a plate with regular sides, but I like to flake it apart to put in tacos with various toppings (similar to the beer battered ones above).
17. Salmon en Croute

One of the more time intensive recipes on this list, salmon en croute is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. It is actually a great dinner party recipe since it cooks together and you can just slice to serve. No need to pan sear everyone’s fillets separately. This is a fish recipe you’ll love, even if you don’t love how long it takes to make.
18. Deep Fried Dorado With Miso Sauce

This whole fish recipe is quite the showstopper. An entire deep fried dorado with miso sauce standing upright on the plate is guaranteed to make your guests go ‘wow’. It is also a fusion of European and Asian cuisines so there’s something to love for everybody.
